New Florida Recreation & Park Association Encourages Effective Leadership Practices in Opening General Session

Aug. 22, 2013 — Jeff Havens, comedian-turned-corporate speaker and author, will be featured as the keynote speaker at the Florida Recreation and Park Association’s (FRPA) 2013 Annual Conference and Exhibit in Orlando. This learning experience was made possible through the 2012-2013 State Association Speaker Scholarship program from Landscape Structures and its local playground consultant, Rep Services, Inc.

Havens’ keynote, Unleash Your Inner Tyrant, uses his trademark wit to “encourage” you to engage in all the practices of ineffective leaders including how to create a culture of fear, oppress and demoralize your employees, outsource blame, and stand firm in the face of all change — before wrapping up with a serious conversation about the kind of leaders we should all strive to become.
